We came back and sang our hearts out in choir before learning about opposites and blends, and reviewing our story in our whole-group reading time!
After recess, and during centers, we worked on listening to reading, sorting words, writing our own sticker story, and reading nonsense words. Before we knew it, it was lunch time.
After lunch, we had a long talk about using kind words. This is something that we will revisit often, but for now, ask your firstie how our heart gets wrinkled. What kind of words should we use?
Then we worked on the addition strategy of "adding on". This is when we hold the larger number in our head, and count on the others. We played a game practicing this skill!
NO HOMEWORK tonight!
We are going to see "Wizard of Oz" tomorrow- we leave SPM at 9:30 and will return by Noon.
