Thursday 4.19

Today, we began our day with lots and lots of reading time! We worked on suffix endings, doubling consonants, dropping "e". We also worked on mapping the story "The Dot". Here it is if you want to listen to it one more time together:

We worked on our OWN DOT too! We wrote all the things that we are good at...and there are a lot! And we filled our DOT!

After Diver Dan and Recess time, we learned about Jesus and His ascension. Can your firstie tell you about that story in the book of Acts?

After lunch, we worked on DIVIDING A SET. We used a baggie full of Skittles and figured out how to equally share the skittles with 3 friends. This took patience, and lots of recounting, but it was a good lesson in accuracy and taking our time!

Math homework tonight is both math lesson side B and math facts side B.

We worked also on our handwriting: n, m and h. Dive down, then back up and over!

And we worked on our 4 square writing. How is the wrap up different than just a heart-felt ending?
