It was SO GREAT to be back together!!
We began our day talking about Advent. What color represents hope? What word is our theme this week? Ask to see your firstie's Advent book. We then talked about our traveling wise men....they are on their way to Jesus but haven't gotten to Bethlehem yet. Where were they today?
We worked on VOWEL Y today. This letter is tricky!! It's a vowel at the end of words, but usually a consonant at the beginning! Have your firstie code:

We had our FIRST SECRET READER! Ask who it was today!! The story was The Christmas Story, straight out of the Children's Bible. We heard about Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, angels and shepherds. It was the perfect way to start our Advent season.
In the afternoon, we practiced for our Advent Service on Wednesday. Ask your kiddo to sing a song from that program! SO CUTE!
