Today, we were all in blue -- and many shades of it! It was a fun way to start our day, showing the way it feels to be part of something.
We zipped through reading and writing today! Everyone wrote a poem! We practiced writing with rhyming words and with a beat! Then we shared our poems together.
After recess, we did go and listen to kindergarten sing. They are so cute--and they seem so small, much smaller than our kiddos in first, even thought it was just one year ago that my kids sat where those littles are!
We worked on our diagram today of our Zoo Animal. We added labels and color!
In the afternoon, we learned about Mary anointing Jesus's feet. She did this to show love. What can we do for each other to show love?
We took a math test today-- so there is NO HOMEWORK!
Then we wrapped up the day with a bit of reading time!
It was a great day in first grade.
