Tuesday 3.6.18

Today, we began our day with AR words.
We use this little tune to help us...

CAR CAR c-a-r
Put your arm in a jar of stars!
A-R ar ar ar! A-R ar ar ar!

Can your firstie show you that?

We also talked about pronouns!! As you read together, search for "he"  "she" "I"  "we" "they"....pronouns are everywhere and make talking and reading much easier!

Here are some games to play to review pronouns:

We also read our newest story together "The Tree". If you would like to read it together, here is a link for it.

We zipped through our math lesson, learning about ten more. When you use the "hundred chart", we say, TEN MORE THROUGH THE FLOOR! Practice like this...give your firstie a number, and ask, "What is ten more?" They can use this chart to help, if they need a visual.

In Jesus time, we made binoculars that helped us look for Jesus, and when we turn those binoculars into a heart, we see that when God looks at us, through the eyes of Jesus, He sees a forgiven, loved, and saved child.

We worked on our "Zack" puppet to help retell the Bible event tonight at home.

In the afternoon, we had a VIP reader! Mr. Armbrecht, our 7th grade teacher came to read to us today!
What a great surprise that was!!

We worked through our centers today as well, then created a class list of PAST PRESENT and FUTURE before we packed up and headed home!

HW tonight: Math B and facts! We will zip through it!!

Have a blessed night!
