Today was our 94th day of first grade!
We began with a super fast review of ___ng and ___nk. These digraphs can be very helpful when we spot them in words as we read!
We also read our story one more time! We love both PIG and GOAT, but they sure do act differently when it comes to taking a trip! Have your firstie retell the story.
Here's a link to listen to it online:

In math, we shopped! I am sure you saw our very fast, very fun shopping video on Seesaw! We are getting to be pros at adding pennies first, then dimes!
Homework tonight is JUST facts!!
After lunch, we learned about Jesus and the miraculous catch of fish. What DOES it mean to be a fisher of men? Who can we tell about God's love?
Finally, we worked through our centers again. Everyone should have a purple bag with reading in it! Read it a few times, as repeated readings really help with fluency and confidence.
We are wrapping up our challenge to read "The Most Checked-Out Books from the New York City Public Library!" Today we read 2 more: Where is the Green Sheep? and The Little House. Ask your firstie which is their favorite so far...we have read a BUNCH!
Have a blessed night!
Jeans/Christian shirts tomorrow!
