After chapel, we came back and reread our story: "How Leopard got his Spots". Can your firstie tell you the story? What happened first? What was their favorite part? We even looked at the rain forest, and checked out a map of the world to find where the most rain forests were! What can your firstie remember about rain forests?
In the afternoon, we did some tricky math.We found the unknown number in an addition problem. For example: I have 3 puppies. We got some more. Now I have 8. How many did I get? Ask your firstie to show you how we set it up!!
We had a special reader who also played a special instrument~ he reminded us how important it is to sing "Happy Birthday to Jesus" on Christmas~~
We ended our day reviewing why we have rules, and what they are for. Then we talked about out helpers at school. What does the custodian do? How about the secretary? The principal? The teacher?
