Happy Monday! This was a day filled with SPECIAL moments!
We began with PE...we are outside every day now for PE because the gym is getting redone. After PE, we learned our newest phonics sounds: -igh and --y and --ie.
Can you find any words in your reading tonight that match these patterns?
We watched EMILY donate her hair today!! What a gift today to people we will never meet!
We listened to our story today called "Frog and Toad are friends: The Kite." It's such a good one!!
Here is a link if you would like to review it!!

We had art class--we made geometric cats. Then lunch, then recess.
In the afternoon, we started with Humphrey. That's our read aloud. Then we measured using CM as our unit of measure. Do you have a ruler at home with a CM on it? Practice tonight!!
Math homework: Just side B.
We talked about parables today: these are earthly stories with heavenly meaning. We talked about the son who blew his whole inheritance, and still when he went home, his father was SO excited to see him that he threw him a party. Imagine the joy that God feels when one of HIS children comes back to him!!
We did a quick Preview of our National Geographic magazine. What are some of the stories about? Don't be surprised in someone in your family wants to attempt a project with a water bottle.
HW: Math
See you tomorrow!
