Today, after prayer requests and singing and praising, we learned about a GREAT FLOOD! What can your firstie tell you about a BIG BOAT, 40 DAYS OF RAIN, LOTS OF ANIMALS? And what did Noah do right away when he got off that boat? We will have times too that seem stormy...maybe our friends aren't being kind, or things aren't going the way we want. Noah gives us the example to PRAISE God through the storm...to THANK HIM for all He does to keep us safe.

Say your memory together: (We practiced)
The Lord is faithful to all His promises.

During reading time today, everyone got to read out of our leveled readers. These are specially aimed right at your reader. They came home today in a purple bag, and your firstie is all set to read it twice to you!!

We also worked with partners on our high-frequency words. There are new ways each week to practice these!

To practice spelling, we learned about word shape boxes. Some letters are tall; some are small; some even dip BELOW the line. This is a great way to "see" the shape of words!

In the afternoon, we finished ROSCO RILEY. Can your firstie tell you what Roscoe did to get in time-out? What a funny story!

We found circles and squares in our classroom as part of our math lesson! Your firstie has a Seesaw loaded up for you to see.

Finally, we did get a Diver Dan Wave today! YAY!

Homework: Just math
Read your reader 2 times tonight!
Bring in permission slips to walk the walk on Monday!
